The R-series is our most comprehensive model line, consisting of a large number of individual components which can be assembled to form a huge variety of configurations. From the high-end two-channel system to the no-compromise home theatre: everything is possible.

Most of our customers operate their R-series units as integrated systems, since the individual components match each other so perfectly. As a basic rule, every R-series machine can be operated using the physical controls on the front panel, and we know that many of our customers do not wish to control their systems remotely. However, if a remote system is desired, this is of course possible.

For the R-series we have developed a control system known as R-Link, which manages the communication between all the devices in a system. There is no need or advantage in equipping each individual unit with a remote control system; instead any of our pre-amplifiers and integrated amplifiers can be equipped with a remote control set. This consists of the F6 a handset and the E 2000 infra-red receiver, which is connected to the RC-IN socket on the back panel.

The receiver is fitted with a 3m long cable, enabling the unit to be installed in any favourable location. The source devices in turn are supplied with R-Link leads which are used to connect the system components together in series. However, if you only wish to operate one machine in this way, then it can be equipped with its own remote control set.

The SR 1560 R surround receiver is an exception, as it features an integral infra-red receiver as standard, and is supplied with its own remote control handset.In the V-series the V 10-2 integrated amplifier and the P 10-2 pre-amplifier are equipped with the F10 remote control handset. The F-100 remote control handset is supplied with the K2, the CARUSO and the E-series Musicplayer.
