Like Audio Triax X, Digital Triax is a co-axial design, and in its overall design and construction it is unique on the world's market. Its complex double co-axial design with an inner conductor and two outer woven shields offers the greatest possible protection from induced interference, and also very effectively prevents the cable radiating electromagnetic fields - a very important factor with digital outputs.
Its impedance is 75 Ohm, making it the perfect choice for digital connections and also aerial connections. Accurate impedance matching is very important, because errors in this area may generate extreme interference and jitter effects. Naturally Digital Triax can also be used as audio leads.
The cable's ultra-low capacitance of only 60 pF makes it feasible for use as relatively long leads. The influ-ence of digital connections on sound quality is often under estimated, as in practice their importance is of a similar magnitude to conventional audio connections.
The outstanding characteristics of Digital Triax cable is its extremely natural, homogeneous and unfettered sound image, free of colorations, very accurate and impressive. Its sophisticated construction, based on the best available insulators and conductor mixtures, produces a cable offering superb measured results and optimum sound qualities.
The inner conductor consists of 39 CU and CU/AG strands with a foamed PUR insulator. This is sur-rounded by the central conductor consisting of a 128-strand CU and CU/AG woven shield and PE insula-tion. The outer shield consists of 144 CU and CU/AG strands, enclosed in turn in a dense PVC external jacket. The outside diameter of this co-axial cable is 8 mm.Digital Triax is available as standard in the form of Cinch leads terminating in high-quality Teflon connectors in 1 m and 2 m lengths, and as an aerial AV lead of 3 m length.
